The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, is a carpetbagger who would take his supporters nowhere outside the Southeast.
This was revealed by the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo during an interview with Arise TV on Tuesday.
He told Obi’s followers that “he would lead them to nowhere” in the 2023 presidential election scheduled for February.
Mr Keyamo, who is labour and employment minister, said Mr Obi and the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso are only raising “consciousness among the electorate.”
Mr Keyamo said, “They (Peter Obi and Kwankwaso) brought colour into the campaign. That, I must admit. And I praise what they are doing. They have raised some consciousness among the electorate. But like I said in another programme, outside the SouthEast, Peter Obi is a carpetbagger.
“I also suspect he may be a Trojan horse for Atiku Abubakar, and so we want to warn his supporters that he may be leading them to nowhere.”
He said PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar is “the most disloyal vice president” Nigeria has ever had.
“Atiku Abubakar was not given powers for one minute. He was distrusted by his boss, he was the most belligerent, the most disloyal vice president we have ever had,” he said.
