Kebbi State Deputy Governor Umar Abubakar Tafida has received the Security Reconnaissance Team assessing the Sokoto- Badagry Highway.
The team from the Federal Ministry of Works, led by General Abubakar Sa’ad (Rtd), visited to conduct a comprehensive security survey of the project site.
Tafida assured the team of the state government’s support and cooperation, commending President Bola Ahmad Tinubu for approving the project, which positively impacts on the people.
He also praised State Governor Nasir Idris’ commitment towards the project.
Earlier in his remarks, General Sa’ad, who is the Security Consultant to the Project Contractor, requested for the state government’s support for the success of their assessment tour.
Other members of the team included Gen. Kunle Shodunke (Rtd), the SSA Security; AIG Aliyu Garba (Rtd), SSA Security; Mr. William Barkhuisen – Hitech, Mr. Peter Badenhorst- Hitech and Engr. Vandu Ishaya from Federal Ministry of Works.
Those who accompanied the team on the courtesy call included state Works Commissioner Engr. Umar Faruk Muslim and Permanent Secretary Sa’ad Musa Sakaba, among other officials.
