Managing Director of the Nigeria Security Printing and Minting Company (NSPMC), Abbas Masanawa, has officially joined the Katsina governorship race by purchasing the expression of interest and nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE reports that Mr Masanawa enjoys a cordial relationship with Katsina business mogul and solo kingmaker in the state, Alhaji Dahiru Mangal.
It was not clear whether Masanawa resigned from NSPMC before picking the forms as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday.
However, Masanawa’s close associate said he has resigned from The Mint.
He was a former Deputy General Manager of Zenith Bank.
