Muhammadu Dikko Umar, the son of Katsina State Governor Dikko Raddd and Ahmed Abdulmuninu Kabir Usman, the son of Emir of Katsina are among the three persons to be appointed district heads as the state creates new districts.
The other person is Alh. Abubakar Dardisu (Sarkin Muduru) who is to be turbaned district head of Murudu.
While the emir’s son, Ahmed gets the title of Dan Majen Katsina as the district head of Dankama, the governor’s son, Muhammadu is taken over his father’s traditional title as Gwagwaren Katsina as the district head of Radda.
The three districts are among the newly created districts in the Katsina emirates.
In an official communication by the emirate council Secretary, Alhaji Isa Ali Kankia, the three district heads would be turbaned on the 2nd of May this year.
He said the dates for turbaning of the remaining district heads would be communicated accordingly.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE reports that the remaining district heads whose turbaning dates are yet to be announced include: immediate former aviation minister, Senator Hadi Sirika as Marusan Katsina, district head of Shargalle, Sanusi Kabir Usman as Karshin Katsina, district head of Shinkafi, Gambo Abdullahi as Dausayin Katsina, district head of Dabai.
The emirate council had in August 2025 approved the appointments.
