Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have reached a divorce settlement. Kanye West, who last year officially changed his name to Ye, will pay Ms. Kardashian $200,000 per month in child support under the terms of the arrangement to cover their four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Ye will make the agreed deposit into Ms. Kardashian’s account on the first of every month, as per the settlement. In addition, he will be liable for covering half of the children’s medical, educational, and security costs.
Ye and Ms. Kardashian have both agreed to use mediation to settle disagreements involving the kids. However, if one party chooses not to participate, the other may resolve the conflict automatically.
Nine months after Ms. Kardashian was legally proclaimed single after a court granted her plea to change her marital status, the divorce settlement was reached.
Ye and Ms. Kardashian began dating in 2012, and two years later, only a few months after the birth of their oldest daughter, North, they were wed.
In 2020, when the rapper made his contentious presidential run public, their marriage started to have problems. On the campaign trail, he shared extremely private details of their marriage.
In a rare remark, Ms. Kardashian also addressed his mental issue and pleaded for “compassion” from the audience.
Kim Kardashian wed Kanye West in 2014, and nearly seven years later, she filed for divorce I 2021, alleging irreconcilable differences.
