The Kano State Government has set aside N2.5 billion for the quarterly mass weddings in the 44 local government areas of the state in 2025.
The State Commissioner for Planning and Budget, Musa Shanono, revealed this when presenting the breakdown of the State’s 2025 budget passed into law by the State House of Assembly on Friday.
Shanono said the government would spend N91.32bn on service delivery in various sectors for various programmes and services toward fostering social welfare and development.

Shanono revealed that N1,000,000,000 has been budgeted for Ramadan feeding, N955,000,000 for a manpower statistics survey, a general household survey, and out-of-school children statistics.
