Governor of Kano State Kabir Yusuf has sacked Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning, Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, who threatened to kill tribunal judges.
The sack followed a statement made by the Commissioner issuing death threat to the tribunal judges.
The governor’s Adviser on Youth Affairs, Yusuf Imam Ogan Boye, has also been removed from his position.
This was revealed this by the commissioner of information Baba Dantiye in a press conference in Kano on Friday.
He said the act by both government officials was deemed as offensive and inappropriate, especially in the context of the state’s relationship with the judiciary.
The officials comments drew widespread condemnation from various quarters, including legal professionals, civil society organizations, and the general public.
