Kano State government has banned metal scraps coming into the state from Northeast following a second explosion at Kofar Dawanau scrap centre.
The second explosion was recorded after the first explosion that killed 5 people in June 21.
The announcement was made by the Commissioner for Internal security and Special services, Ibrahim Umar.
He said the decision taken by the state is a proactive measure against reoccurrence.
The commissioner appealed to the residents to report any suspicious consignment to the relevant security agencies for prompt action.
According to the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, preliminary findings suggest the explosive material were being transported by a trailer into the state from Northeast.
The second explosion at Kofar Dawanau was said to have killed one person while few others had sustained injuries.
