The Chief Imam of Maiduguri Road Juma’at Mosque in Kaduna, Sheikh Dahiru Lawal Abubakar is dead.
He died at the 44 Army Reference Hospital Kaduna on Wednesday, at the age of 52, according to his younger brother Nasdiru Lawal Abubakar, a former Managing Editor of Daily Trust newspapers.
He will be buried on Wednesday after a funeral prayer.
Until his death, Sheikh Abubakar was a judge at the Upper Sharia Court in Makarfi Local Government Area of the state.
The late imam is the son to the late renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Lawal Abubakar.
