The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, has warned political appointees in the state that the administration would not tolerate non performance.
Balarabe gave the warning on Wednesday in Kaduna during the swearing-in of 19 advisers and four Local Government Chairmen.
She said that the political appointees must work assiduously towards delivery of good governance.
Balarabe added that their mandates included driving the government agenda, and urged them not to betray the high confidence placed in them.
The deputy governor said the appointees should familiarise themselves with the agenda which outlined the core principles guiding Gov. Uba Sani’s administration.
She therefore urged them to remain dedicated to their responsibilities and avoid complacency.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that those who took the oath of office included Dr Shehu Usman-Muhammad, Counsellor on Political Matters; Bulus Bangui-Audu, Counsellor Land Matters; and Samaila Suleiman, Counsellor Infrastructure.
A total of 16 Special Advisers also took their oath of office.
The local government chairmen sworn-in were those of Lere, Mr Gambo Mathew-Bulus; Soba, Alhaji Abdulmumuni Bawa; and Kubau, Alhaji Musa Sale, while Alhaji Salisu Isah was sworn-in as the Administrator of Birnin Gwari Local Government.
