Deputy Governor of Kaduna state, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, has emphasized the importance of synergy between the executive and legislative arms of government in delivering democratic goods to the people of Kaduna State.
Dr Balarabe made the call while delivering her keynote address at the induction retreat organised for the newly- elected members of the 10th Kaduna State House of Assembly on Thursday.
The three-day retreat which is taking place at the Reinz Continental Hotel, Abuja, seeks to familiarise the members with their roles and responsibilities as they commence their legislative duties.
She expressed optimism that the two arms will work collaboratively based on the principle of mutual respect as they serve the people of the state.
While assuring the 10th House of Assembly of the support of the executive arm, the deputy governor noted that the Gov. Uba Sani was a legislator who has switched to the executive branch of the government to serve the people of Kaduna State.
In his remarks, Speaker Yussuf Liman, commended the Deputy Governor for attending the retreat and expressed the hope that the cooperation between the two arms of government will be sustained for the development and progress of Kaduna State.
The Speaker also said that this is the first time an executive member is attending a retreat of the house and described the gesture as a positive step towards deepening their collaboration.
