The Jukun Wanu Association (JUWA) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has sworn the publisher of Apex News Exclusive, Anthony Maliki, as chairman alongside other executive members of the association.
The 14-member executive was elected on October 10, 2021, and would serve for two years.
Other executive members sworn in are Eliya Akoshi, Vice Chairman; Ahmed B. Mohammed, Assistant Secretary; Talatu Ishaya, Treasurer, George Agah, Financial Secretary; Helen Gabriel, Assistant Financial Secretary; Zachariah Bulus, Director of Socials; James Wunuji, Provost Marshal I; Sunny Basheru, Public Relations Officer I (PRO); Fred Yohanna, Auditor I and Ephraim Akulunye, Auditor II.
The Secretary, Daniel Asafi, and Provost Marshal II who were on critical assignments would be sworn in at a later date.
In his speech, Maliki thanked the outgone executive for piloting the affairs of the association very well stressing that the new executives would rely on them for advice at all times.
He rolled out a few agenda the new executive intends to pursue to include membership drive, resuscitation of its Cooperative Society, skill acquisition for members, and introduction of children meeting among others.
Maliki also urged the Jukun to ensure they register and get their voter card as well as participate fully in politics.
