The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Plateau Command, says 21 inmates who escaped from the Jos custodial centre when gunmen attacked the facility have been arrested.
Spokesperson of the command, Geofrey Longdiem, disclosed this on Tuesday.
One security personnel was killed and 252 inmates escaped from the custodian centre when gunmen invaded the facility on November 28.
Longdiem said the NCoS would work in collaboration with other security agencies to arrest the remaining inmates
He said some of the inmates had voluntarily returned to the facility after the attack.
Few days after the incident, two of the inmates were brought back to the custodial centre by their mother.
Deputy Controller General of NCoS, in charge of Operations, Mohammed Tukur, had blamed the attack on paucity of modern equipment and other gadgets.
