Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishāku and former governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo have won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial tickets for their respective districts in the just-comcluded primaries.
While Ishaku won the ticket for Southern Taraba, Dankwabo picked the ticket for Gombe North senatorial district.
Ishaku’s deputy, Alhaji Haruna Manu also won his bid for the Taraba Central senatorial ticket.
While Dankwambo emerged through affirmation after two other aspirants, Senator Usman Bayero Nafada and Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh withdrew from the race to give him a soft-landing, Ishaku was unopposed.
In the Taraba exercise, the incumbent senator representing Taraba Northern senatorial zone, Alhaji Shuaibu Isa Lau, also clinched his return ticket.
