Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and UN Secretary-General António Guterres held a phone call on Monday to discuss the latest developments in Gaza and Yemen, according to a statement from Iran’s Foreign Ministry.
Araghchi emphasised the international community’s responsibility to halt what he described as Israel’s violations of the ceasefire with Hamas and to ensure humanitarian aid reaches Gaza.
He also condemned Israeli actions in Yemen, calling for stronger UN-Iran cooperation to promote regional stability and security.
Guterres stressed the importance of continued diplomatic efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region. (Xinhua/NAN)
