He is the Federal Government’s biggest irritant, leader of an outlawed group campaigning for the country’s break up from abroad, regularly broadcasting incendiary messages through the social media, taunting Nigeria, inciting violence and insurrection. He sneaked into the country, was arrested, brought before a court, held for a time and granted bail. He then jumped bail and resumed his campaign for “Biafra” from abroad.
This year IPOB went from incitement to full scale insurrection, attacking police stations, Army patrols and INEC offices all over the South East and killing cops on the streets. It suffered a big moral blow recently when South Eastern governors and community leaders publicly disowned its secessionist agenda.
Now IPOB has suffered the biggest blow of all. With the help of Interpol, Nnamdi Kanu, was apprehended in the UK, flown back to Nigeria and arraigned to resume his trial before an Abuja High Court.
Where are those senators who bailed him out the last time? Please let them come forward.
