The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says it banned the consumption of ‘Fulani cows’ (beef) in South-East geopolitical zone of the country.
This is contained in a statement signed by IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful.
It said the ban would take effect from April, 2022.
“Effective that month, Fulani cows will not be used for any social or ceremonial events and festival in Biafraland,’’ the statement said.
“Our native cows will be used instead for these events.
“Traditional custodians of our culture, the clergy and town unions must ensure that this message gets to the grassroots.’’
