Bandits have killed three persons at Yar Bulutu village in Sabon Birni local government area of Sokoto state.
The attack came barely two days after the stakeholders meeting on security convened by the state government to proffer solutions to the persistent bandits attacks in the state.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE learnt that the marauders attacked the village around 11pm on Thursday.
A resident of the area who spoke on condition of anonymity, identified the persons killed as Suleiman Hamidi, Muhammad Abara (Gije), and a watchman at the Alhaji Yahuza filling station.
The bandits also rustled an undisclosed number of animals from the village.
During the stakeholders meeting that lasted less than an hour, only six people were allowed to contribute, aside from the goodwill messages from past governors of the state.
The meeting which was chaired by Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar was attended by Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and his deputy, Manir Dan’iya.
Others attendees include, two former governors of the state, Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa and Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
Others were former deputy governors, Senator Danbaba Dambuwa,other national and state lawmakers, as well as heads of security agencies in the state, traditional leaders and religious leaders.
The Minister of Police Affairs and the Chief of Army Staff, who were from the state, were represented by the AIG Zone 10 and GOC 8 Division of the Nigeria Army.
