The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), says it has not received the certified true copy of the Federal High Court judgement that sacked Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi and others.
INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, said in Abuja that the commission would meet and take decision after receiving copies of the judgement.
Justice Inyang Ekwo had ruled that Umahi cannot transfer the votes that got him into power under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The commission has not been served with a copy of the said judgment. The Commission will meet and take a decision when it is served with a Certified True Copy of the judgment.
