The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the extension of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) indefinitely.
The CVR, by the INEC’s timeline, was expected to end on June 30, 2022.
The Commissioner and Chairman (Information and Voter Education Committee), Festus Okoye, in statement said the Resident Electoral Commissioners and electoral officers would continue with the exercise pending further directives from the commission.
He said the commission would give further update on the development after the conclusion of the case on the matter before the federal high court in Abuja.
