Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, has said he is having fun over the controversy surrounding his interest in the presidency.
Speaking with newsmen after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, on Thursday, the apex bank governor said he is not bothered by the happenings around him, saying he is rather having fun.
Asked whether he would resign as directed by President Buhari, Emefiele said: “There is no news now, but there will be news. You heard me, I said there is no news but there will be news.”
But when told that Nigerians were anxious about his position, he said: “Let them have a heart attack. It’s good to have a heart attack. I am having a lot of fun.”
