The Abuja residence of former Kaduna State Governor Nasiru el-Rufai has been raided by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The ICPC operatives conducted the raid on Thursday evening, sources have revealed.
The raid is coming about 24 hours after the anti-graft agency arrested the former governor shortly after his release by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The raid was announced by spokesperson of Mr el-Rufai, Muyiwa Adekeye, on Thursday night.
Muyiwa posted on social media that the Aso Drive residence of the former governor was raided.
”UPDATE: The Aso Drive residence of Malam Nasir @elrufai was today searched by the ICPC.
”Ubong Akpan, Malam El- Rufai’s lawyer, condemned the action “as unlawful, and a clear violation of legal procedures and fundamental rights.”
