Daughter of the former governor of Delta State, James Ibori, Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s House of Representatives candidate for Ethiope federal constituency of Delta State.
Ibori-Suenu is the lawmaker representing Ethiope west constituency in the State House of Assembly.
She defeated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s associate, Ben Igakpa to emerge victorious at the PDP’s primary.
During the Monday exercise, the duo got 34 votes each, resulting in a rerun.
Ibori-Suenu polled 46 votes to defeat Igbakpa, who scored 22 votes during the rerun which took place at the Oghara township stadium in Delta.
