Edo state Governor Godwin Obaseki and a former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole on Saturday exchanged banters for the first time in public after they parted ways more than a year ago.
Both Obaseki and Oshiomhole exchanged greetings with an elbow-bump in compliance with COVID-19 protocol at the Centenary Birthday Thanksgiving of Mosignor Thomas Oleghe Canonical Election Anniversary of the Diocese of Auchi held at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Auchi.
Obaseki said he bear no personal grudges against Oshiomhole, but only dislikes his style of politics, adding that they are both sons of the state with the interest of the state at heart.
The governor said: “I don’t have anything personal against Oshiomhole. I may not like his politics, but he has not done anything personal against me. We all are interacting with the interest of the country and the development of our community at heart.”
Oshiomhole, who was a guest at the event, described Obaseki as his “his brother and friend.”
