A 30-year-old man, Surajo Dauda, has been arrested by the Police in Katsina for allegedly abducting, drugging and raping a housewife in Tandama village in Bakori local government area of the state.
The spokesperson of the state police command, Gambo Isa, told 21st CENTURY on Friday that Surajo was suspected to have abducted 18-year-old Jamila Auwal after expressing love advances to her, even though he knew she was married.
He said the suspect has confessed to drugging the victim before he took her away and locked her in a room for five months.
Gambo said the suspect also confessed to have raped the victim daily for the five months she was in his custody.
