A community leader in Unguwar Makera, Kwasakwasa Community in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Muhammadu Hudu has explained how bandits attack a Juma’at Mosque in the village killing two persons.
According to him, the incident which happened on Friday around 2 pm during the congratulation caused chaos in the small settlement.
The community leader said the bandits opened fire on the worshipers after the first raka’at of the prayer which forced people to ran for safety.
“People were in the second raka’at of the salat when the bandits arrived and opened fire on them, killing two of the worshippers. The victims have been buried at Old Kuyello cemetery,” he narrated.
According to him, few days ago, the same bandits abducted about nine people at a community called Unguwar Kanawa under Kwasakwasa area.
The Police command Public Relations Officer ASP Mansir Hassan didn’t respond to his call and had not reply to a text message sent to him over the incident.
It could be recalled that the mosque attack came less than 24 hours after bandits abducted 287 students in the neighboring Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
