Despite the curfew of dusk to down imposed by Kano state government to checkmate reactions that may follow the gubernatorial election results announcement, thugs have set the house of famous singer Dauda Kahutu Rarara ablaze.
According to an eye witness, Malam Aminu Baba, the residence of the singer situated at Zoo Road Kundila was said to have been set on fire few hours after after the declaration of the Kano state governorship election.
He explained that with the prompt intervention of security personnel, the suspected thugs were dispersed after some minutes, but the fire was still on.
It can be recalled that the singer had recently abandoned his former ally Sha’aban Sharada to pitch tent with APC’s gubernatorial candidate Gawuna.
Mr Rarara has made several utterences that have triggered a serious debate in the state.
