The 22-year-old Norwegian prodigy scored City’s second goal of the match by chipping the ball over Lukasz Fabianski for his 35th goal of a fantastic season, with 34 goals combined in 1993–94 and 1994–95, Andy Cole and Alan Shearer, who had previously held the top spot, were surpassed by him. Given that Cole and Shearer attained their totals when the top-flight season consisted of 42 instead of 38 games, Haaland’s achievement is even more remarkable. Yeah, I’m happy and proud.
