The founder of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria and Niger, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has donated a house to one of the longest serving security guards with the two universities, Malam Umar Mohammed Sanda, for his honesty.
Presenting the keys of the house to Malam Sanda on Wednesday at the permanent site of MAAUN, Prof. Gwarzo said the recipient, who worked for the universities in Niger and Nigeria for over 10 years, was found to be sincere and honest throughout the period.
“On behalf of MAAUN Niger and Nigeria, I want to reward you with a house for your sincerity and honesty.
“I decided to give him a house in order for him to have a place where he can live with his family comfortably.
“I decide to promote him because he is a serious person who always mind his business and he stop where I ask him to stop,” Prof. Gwarzo said while presenting the keys of the house to Malam Sanda.
He, therefore, advised the recipient to remain honest, sincere and hardworking wherever he might find himself.
Prof. Gwarzo also urged other staff working in the University and elsewhere to emulate Malam Sanda because according to him sincerity and honesty are paying.
Responding, Malam Sanda expressed appreciation to the University and the Founder for the singular gesture and prayed to God to reward him abundantly
