A businessman, Saminu Barjanga, has been killed on his farm at Barjanga village in Gassol local government area of Taraba State.
This is coming few days after a daughter and son of a brother to Taraba Deputy Governor Haruna Manu, who were abducted a week ago, regained freedom.
A resident of the area told 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE that Barjanga was killed by some yet to be identified persons on Monday.
He said three people on a motorcycle had come to Barjanga’s farm, and after some minutes they heard someone calling for help from the farm.
The resident said the call stopped some minutes later and the three people, suspected to be the murderers, left the farm and rode away.
He said nothing was removed from the victim as a large sum of money was found in his pockets.
