Gunmen on Sunday night abducted travellers along Omoh-Erin-Ijesha road in Ori-Ade Local Government Area of Osun State.
The Corps Commander of Amotekun in Osun State, Bashir Adewinbi, who confirmed the incident said the gunmen intercepted the travellers and took some of them to a nearby bush around Ori-Oke Omoh while others were left at the scene.
“We did not know the numbers of people that were kidnapped by gunmen but we have drafted people to the scene of the crime to secure their release,” he said.
Police spokesperson, Osun state Command, Yemisi Opalola who also confirmed the incident said two people were kidnapped. She said the Police have deployed its personnel to the area to rescue the victims.
