Gunmen on Sunday abducted the spokesperson of the Edo state command of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Bridget Esene.
An immigration officer confirmed that she was abducted on her way to church in Benin on Sunday, after the gunmen trailed her to the Iqueniro.
They reportedly dragged her out of the car, and bundled her and whisked her into a waiting vehicle.
Her abductors are yet to speak with her family, and her whereabouts is still unknown.
