Gunmen on Wednesday abducted a Catholic priest, Rev Fr Godfrey Mark Chimezie, in Umuahia, Abia State.
The priest is of the St Theresa Catholic Church, Umuahia, in Abia State.
He was kidnapped along Enyiukwu Road, Ohokobe Afaraukwu community, Ibeku in Umuahia North LGA of the state.
The kidnappers, it was gathered, intercepted the cleric who had just concluded a morning mass at St Gabriel in Okpururie, Afaraukwu.
He was subsequently forced out of his Toyota Corolla into their waiting SUV and sped away.
