Gunmen have abducted worshippers inside a mosque at Tella town in Gassol local government area of Taraba State.
Sources said the assailants, numbering about 12, surrounded the mosque at about 7.115pm and abducted worshipers who were observing Isha’i prayers.
The gunmen disrupted the prayer session, carted away the worshipers from the mosque at gunpoint.
Some of the abducted worshippers are Alhaji Yahaya, Aminu Dali and Alhaji Hussaini, who is chairman of grain dealers in the area.
Gunmen have abducted at least 25 persons within the last three weeks, sources said.
Taraba police command spokesperson, DSP Usman Abdullahi, has confirmed the incident.
