Gunmen on Wednesday attacked the residence of former Sports Minister, Damishi Sango, at Danwal after Vom, in Riyom local government, in Plateau state.
Residents of the area said the attack happened at around 9pm on Wednesday.
Two security details attached to the ex-minister were said to have been shot during the attack.
Spokesman of the Plateau Police Command, Gabriel Ubah, confirmed the incident.
“The Command is aware of the incident at Riyom and the victims have been rushed to the hospital where they are receiving treatment,” he said.
