The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Aliyu, is leading in the Governorship election conducted in Sokoto state with large margin.
According to the results from 10 local government areas released by INEC, Aliyu was leading with 21,200 votes having scored 154,631 votes.
He was closely followed by the candidate of the ruling PDP in the state, Sa’idu Umar Ubandoma who scored 132, 431.
According to the result, APC won eight local government while PDP won two.
