Niger State Governor Umaru Bago has paid a condolence visit to former INEC Chairman Attahiru Jega over the death of his wife, Hajiya Hadiza Jega.
The governor, who came along with his entourage, extended his heartfelt sympathies to Prof. Jega at his Abuja residence on Monday.
Hajiya Hadiza died Sunday morning after a protracted illness and was buried at the Gudu Cemetery after funeral prayers at the National Mosque Abuja.
Governor Bago described her passing as a great loss not only to Prof. Jega and his family, but also to the nation.
The Niger governor prayed to Allah to grant her Aljannatul Firdaus and give the family the strength to bear the loss.
