Explosion said to have emanated from gas cylinder has killed five persons and injured many at Isa town in Isa local government area of Sokoto state.
The incident occured Sunday around noon.
Some of the injured were said to have lost their limbs and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
A resident of the area, Muhammad, told our reporter that, it was the gas cylinder of one of their welder that exploded.
“I counted five bodies which were later evacuated by the police.
“And some of the injured lost their limbs,” he said.
The spokesperson of the police, DSP Sanusi Abubakar, said he was not briefed on the incident. He promised to get details from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area and get back to our reporter.
