Governor Umaru Dikko Radda has expressed confidence in the ability of tge new National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC Ganduje’s to lead the party to new heights.
Governor Radda made this assertion while congratulating Ganduje and the New National Secretary of the party Senator Ajibola Basiru.
In a statement by the governor’s spokesperson Ibrahim Kaulah Mohammed, Governor Radda described Ganduje as a seasoned politician with a wealth of experience, whom he said was poised to contribute significantly to the party’s growth and success.
The statement reads: “Governor Radda also commends the resilience demonstrated by the new national officers amidst differing opinions and challenges leading up to the convention.
“He urges them to initiate dialogue and outreach with all party members, promoting inclusivity and unity within the APC.
The Governor extends his warmest congratulations to Ganduje and Senator Ajibola Basiru for ther emergence as the National Chairman and National Secretary respectively of the ruling party.
In Governor Radda’s words, “Congratulations to our newly elected national officers. Their election in this pivotal period of our national politics bears significant responsibility, and I have no doubt in their capabilities, integrity, and capacity to succeed.
“Furthermore, Governor Radda who was the pioneer National Welfare Secretary of the party expresses his anticipation for a successful and impactful tenure under the leadership of Ganduje and Basiru.
“He affirms their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his “Renewed Hope” administration, aiming to propel Nigeria toward sustained economic growth and development.”
Governor Radda extended his appreciation to the APC leadership for the meticulous selection of the new national chairman and national secretary, saying the party’s decision was a testament to its internal worthy of emulation by other parties.
Senator Ajibola Basiru, who represented Osun Central Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly and chaired the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, now assumes the role of National Secretary, succeeding Senator Iyiola Omisore, a former Deputy Governor of Osun State.
Ganduje and Basiru were officially adopted as the National Chairman and National Secretary of the APC, respectively, during the party’s 12th National Executive Committee meeting held in Abuja on Thursday.
