The reinstated chairman of the Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission, Muhuyi Magajin Rimin-Gado, he denied being used to depose Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi as emir of Kano.
Rimin Gado revealed this when he appeared on Trust TV’s Daily Politics.
He also said he will reopen the investigation against former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on some controversial videos.
He said the probe was necessary.
It would be recalled that an online newspaper, Daily Nigerian went to town with some videos of Ganduje allegedly collecting kickbacks from contractors.
The ex-Governor had denied the allegation, saying the videos were doctored.
Ganduje removed Rimin Gado after some altercation but was reinstated by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Rimini Gado said he meant every word he said when in office, adding that “We opened an investigation but there were certain limitations then because he was the incumbent governor.
“Every incumbent governor, deputy governor, or president has immunity. Now that limit is no more. The commission will do what is necessary.”
