Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Saturday directed the closure of four state tertiary Institutions with immediate effect.
The affected schools: RMK College of Advanced and Remedial Studies Tudun Wada; School of Environmental Studies Gwarzo; School of Rural Technology and Entrepreneurship Dev ( SORTED) Rano and ABCOAD Dambatta.
The state Commissioner for Information, Dr. MAriya Mahmud Bukure, gave the announcement on Saturday.
He advised students of the affected schools to vacate the campuses immediately.
Bakure said date for re-opening of the schools would be communicated later.
Ganduje had on Friday closed 10 boarding schools across the state, due to deteriorating security situation in the neighbouring state of Zamfara which led to the abduction of over 300 students of Government Girls Secondary school Jangebe.
