Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has approved the appointment of Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim as the new Emir of Gaya, following the death of the former emir Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulkadir who died on Wednesday last week.
Ibrahim’s appointment came after his nomination by Gaya emirate’s kingmakers .
Secretary to the State Government Usman Alhaji made the announcement at the Government House in the presence of the kingmakers on Saturday.
Gaya was among the four emirate created by the state government in 2019.
