President Bola Tinubu has raised the ambassadorial list to 65 on Thursday.

The president sent another batch of nominees to the Senate that include the immediate past sole administrator of Rivers State, Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, former Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau; Senator Ita Enang, and former Imo State First Lady, Chioma Ohakim as well as 30 others.

The nominations were made in accordance with Section 171(1), (2)(c), and (4) of the Constitution.

The latest nominees who are career diplomats include:

Abia: Ambassador Mwaobiola Ezeuwo Chukwuemeka

Adamawa: Maimuna Ibrahim

Anambra: Enpeji Monica Okochukwu

Bauchi: Ambassador Mohammed Mahmoud Lele

Bayelsa: Endoni Sindup 5B

Senate President Godswill Akpabio forwarded the names to the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and given a one-week deadline to carry out its assignment and report to the Red Chamber.
