President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a zoning formula for the national offices of the All Progressives Congress (APC), it was learnt.
According to the report by The Cable, the approval is contained in a document the president signed on March 1.
In the document, Senator Abdullahi Adamu (Nasarawa west) retained the position of a national chairman, while Ken Nnamani, former senate president, who was earlier penciled for the national secretary position, is named for the position of deputy national chairman (south).
Faruk Aliyu Adamu, former member of the House of Representatives, is proposed as deputy national chairman (north) and John Akpanudoedehe, current national secretary of the APC caretaker committee, is proposed as the substantive national secretary.
Going by this formula, the proposed candidates for the national working committee (NWC) will not have opponents at the national elective convention of the party scheduled for March 26.
