Former Military Administrator of Kano and Benue states, Col. Aminu Isa Kontagora, is dead.

A statement by the Secretary to the Government of Niger state, said Kontagora died on Sunday night in Abuja of COVID-19 related complications.

He was 65.

Kontagora was military administrator of Benue state during the regime of late General Sani Abacha from August 1996 to August 1998; and of Kano state during the regime of Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar from September 1998 to May 1999.
