Western imperialist arrogance is beyond satire. Israel is committing genocide and ethnic cleansing as I write, breaking international law every minute as it bombs refugee camps and hospitals, and the United States boasts of how the G7 colonial powers are united in support of Israel’s war crimes.
The so-called “rules-based order” actually means “the US makes the rules so that the imperialist West can do whatever it wants, including genocide, while it lectures foreign countries about ‘democracy and human rights”.
The Zionist regime justified the continued mass killing of women and children in Gaza since October 7 by saying the US did the same thing when it dropped atomic bombs on Japan. In the same vein, Israeli officials cited examples of the American war in Iraq, when thousands of civilians were killed.
It is impossible to accurately determine this relationship between the mass murders committed in the above examples including the US atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 and those in the Gaza Strip.
One fact remains, more than 11,000 people have been killed in Gaza in the past month, 40 percent of them children, all for the sake of self-defense. Now, the question is, does Israel have a “right of self-defense” under international law? The answer is “No”.
According to the United Nations Charter, no country has a right to self-defence when it’s occupying others and depriving them of basic rights. In fact, it’s Palestinians – the victims – who have the right to use force in self-defense. Thus, Israel cannot claim the right of self-defense against a threat that emanates from the territory that it occupies, that is kept under belligerent occupation.
Still under the pretext of self-defense and the goal to destroy Hamas, the genocidal Israeli forces early Wednesday stormed Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest in the besieged and ravaged enclave, and entered the “basement” of the hospital in search of the militant group’s operation-and-command centre and did not find anything.
In justifying Israel’s invasion of the Shifa Hospital, the U.S. and European Union {EU} said they have an intelligence assessment asserting that Hamas military sites are concealed beneath the hospital. But it is nothing more than recycled Israeli propaganda.
Israel’s attempt to brand Gaza’s hospitals as covert military bases is not only aimed at justifying its violent takeover of those facilities – a war crime that was once unthinkable. It is also designed to conceal its ulterior objective of ethnic cleansing and eliminating the centres of life from northern Gaza, especially the hospitals which have provided medical care and sanctuary for tens of thousands of displaced people, thereby forcing the population to migrate south toward Egypt. Once northern Gaza is cleansed of its native population, Tel Aviv plans to pressure Egypt to accept displaced Palestinians in tent cities in the Sinai, where they can then be resettled in the region or permanently scattered across the world.
One of the great atrocities of our time: a modern-day Nakba aimed at the ethnically cleansing of Gaza and consolidation of Israel’s system of apartheid is in effect. Sadly, the United States and its Zionist collaborators are hell-bent on ensuring the Israeli genocide is a permanent fact of life. They are arrogantly and plainly supportive of the Zionist assertion that “Genocide in Gaza is justified because Hamas is using civilians as a human shield…”
Today there is an an axis made up of the United States, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Israel. It is the axis that supports the occupation, legitimizes the killing of children and women, the destruction of hospitals, and grants immunity to Israel to continue its massacres. On the other side, there is also an alliance called the “Axis of Resistance”, which includes non-state actors from countries like Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Palestine.
Events in the Middle East in the last few weeks suggest something evil and diabolical is in the offing. The existing world order is transitional. Today, there is a shift from a unipolar world to a multipolar one. The poles of the multipolar world are already becoming quite distinct. These are Russia, China, and the Muslim world, with Africa and Latin America emerging into a formidable force.
Through the BRICS bloc and the Global South movement, the multipolar world is strengthening its position every day, whilst the Western hegemony is weakening. However, the globalist leadership of the West, and primarily the US, is striving at all costs to preserve unipolarity, insisting on its full-scale military, political, economic, cultural, and ideological dominance. This is the main contradiction of our era: the escalation of the confrontation between unipolarity and multipolarity.
Believe it or not, Iran is the prime target in this Israel war on Gaza as the globalists have already marked the Islamic Republic for destruction as it is being viewed as the biggest obstacle to achieving their nefarious agenda in the region and the world at large.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to “demolish Hamas.” He has also accused Iran of being complicit in the October 7 attacks. “In fighting Hamas and the Iranian axis of terror, Israel is fighting the enemies of civilization itself,”
US forces have launched a series of airstrikes against militant groups linked to Iran after blaming them for a series of rocket and drone attacks against American military bases in Iraq and Syria.
There are fears that the globalists will inadvertently push Israel to attack Hizbullah in southern Lebanon in order to drag Iran into the conflict thereby creating a pretext to launch a full-blown attack against it with the aim of destroying its nuclear capabilities. Aware of this plan, Tehran has tactically avoided direct confrontation with its adversaries.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, reportedly told Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh earlier this month during a face-to-face meeting that Tehran wouldn’t get directly involved in the militant group’s war with Israel unless it was attacked by the Zionist regime or the US. Barring such an attack, Iran’s involvement in the conflict will be limited to political and moral support.
It seems both Iran and Hizbullah want to avoid confrontation and all-out war in the region. But should a big war erupt over Palestine, the Iranians can be confident they would not stand alone against the globalists.
Iran has been a full-fledged member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) since 4th July 2023. SCO is an Eurasian political, economic, international security and defence organization established by China and Russia in 2001. I expect Russia to play a part indirectly if the war goes regional. On the other hand, China will be a good deterrent force and a good partner should the situation blow up. Already, two of China’s most powerful warships, Class 055 super-destroyers, are joining a flotilla of six PLAN vessels in West Asian waters.
According to Hong Kong news site Xinminchao, the 10,000-ton Dalian and Yenan, together with three companion vessels, are headed towards the Arabian Sea and the Persian Gulf. Type 055 carries YJ-21 hypersonic missiles with a range of 1,500km. Enough to protect the Persian Gulf and Red Sea from any possible US attacks.
Together with the ships already in the region, they will constitute the largest, most powerful ever Chinese fleet to visit those waters since Admiral Zheng He’s armada in the early 15th century Ming Dynasty. The great Zheng He was the chief admiral of the largest-ever armada in history.
Significantly, China’s move comes after a trip last week to Beijing by Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi, former head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard and now a top advisor to the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.
We are now moving well towards escalation. I suspect the Russians will up their military presence in Syria and the Black Sea. Still defensive in nature, a deterrent to prevent the expansion of the war to Iran and Syria. Bottom line: There is no way China and Russia will allow Iran to go down in case of a big war with the US. Regardless of whether or not there is a military showdown between Iran and the globalists, it’s probably safe to assume that Tehran will continue receiving overt and covert support in various forms.
