Flight operations have been disrupted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) domestic terminal in Abuja following a technical fault affecting baggage screening equipment.
Air Peace said in a statement on Monday that the issue has slowed baggage processing and loading procedures, leading to possible delays in some departures.
“This situation is due to a technical issue with baggage screening equipment within the terminal, which has slowed standard processing procedures. To minimise disruption, we have proactively activated alternative screening procedures using available equipment to ensure flights continue operating safely.
“However, these additional steps may result in longer processing times and possible delays to some departures,” the statement read.
The airline said ground teams have been deployed to assist passengers, provide updates, and prioritise affected flights.
Additionally, Air Peace said it is working closely with airport authorities to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and restore normal operations.
“Please be assured that we are doing everything within our control to expedite the process and reduce the impact on your travel plans,” the airline added.
