Hundreds of shops and good worth millions of naira have been destroyed in a fire incident at Gashua Hay market in Yobe State.
This is coming a week after fire destroyed Katsina Central Market and a market in Zamfara state.
The Gashua fire incident started at Saturday night into Sunday morning, an eye witness told 21st Century Chronicle.
He said goods worth millions of naira have been destroyed in the fire outbreak.
Although the cause of the fire incident yet to be known, residents suspect it to be from smokers around the market.
Residents appealed to federal and state governments and other concerned authorities to come to their aids.
