An inferno has destroyed the administration section of the Sokoto state Police Command.
Confirming the incident, the Public Relation Officer of the Command, ASP Rufa’i Ahmad, said confidential office and the office of the Assistant Commissioner, Administration were among the offices torched.
Others include the office of the Chief Imam of the Command, the chaplain and the office of the Chief Superintendent of Police, Administration.
Ahmad said the fire occured around 5am when the offices were vacated.
“There was no movement during the incident, thus we cannot say this is what caused the fire.
“But the Commissioner has ordered for full investigation to ascertain it cause and the level of destruction,” he said
