A mysterious fire has razed down sections of the school built for Boko Haram victims in Sokoto state.
The School, AA Karma Academy was built by the renown Sokoto businessman, Alhaji Umarun Kwabo AA in 2018 for the children whose parents were killed by Boko Haram insurgents in the Northeast.
The school provide both western, religious education and vocational skills to the students who were said to have reached 176, including females.
The fire which started around 4pm on Thursday has razed the students’ hostel, computer laboratory and some offices of the school.
A statement issued by the state government which was signed by the Spokesman of Governor Ahmed Aliyu said the state delegation had visited the school and consoled the victims.
The delegation, which was led by the Secretary to the State Government, Muhammad Bello Sifawa, also had Chief of Staff, Government House Sokoto, Aminu Haliru Dikko, mni, as well as the State Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Nasiru Mohammed Binji, visited the school to see the level of damage caused by the inferno.
Speaking shortly, Secretary to the State Government, Muhammad Bello Sifawa, on behalf of the state government, commiserated with the management of the Academy for the unfortunate incident that had razed down the upper floor of the school
He, however, thanked the Almighty Allah as there was no loss of any life and that no student sustain any injury from the incident.
The SSG prayed to the Almighty Allah to prevent the recurrence of such calamities.
